Venues & Accessibility

Public Energy Performing Arts is committed to removing barriers to those who want to engage with the performing arts: as audiences, artists and administrators. If you have questions about the accessibility of our performances, workshops or digital events, please direct them to admin@publicenergy.ca. Beyond our advertised accessibility initiatives we are happy to make additional accommodations on request.

In December 2018 we participated in The Time in My Shoes (TIMS) Program, a hands-on experiential learning program presented by the Peterborough Council for Persons with Disabilities. TIMS is designed to teach everyone about accessibility and inclusion. It provides the opportunity to learn from people with lived experience with barriers to inclusion about the barriers present in your workspace. Public Energy highly recommends the TIMS program. If you would like more information about the program, please email programs@pcpd.ca.
