The 2013 Wearable Art Show
Public Energy’s Annual Fundraiser Fashion Show featuring The Runway Challenge. Join our 3rd annual fashion show fundraiser featuring the talents of Peterborough’s visual arts community as they create the most ingenious wearable art you’ll ever see strutting down a catwalk. For the Runway Challenge we are once again pairing up artists with local businesses and challenging them to create original fashions using nothing but products from that business.
This years Runway Challengers and their Business partners are:

Vicky Paradisis + Lakefield Pantry, Wendy Trusler + Pammett’s Flowers
The Runway Challenge Launch
Wednesday, January 9th at noon, Market Hall lobby
Our Challeger artists drew from a hat to choose the business partners they will be working with.
They will have exactly one month to create a piece to be danced down the catwalk in the second half of the event.
Wearable Art Show
Our event will begin on the catwalk with works created by local artists who have been invited to create wearable art in any medium they choose. This year will feature a special appearance by the Dream Players choreographed by Vicky Paradisis in outfits designed by Leigh Macdonald and Max Price. Our wearable art catwalk will also again be graced by the students of Strutt Central modeling wearable art creations of their own making,
Attention Artists there is still time for you to show off your own Wearable Art at this year’s event.

Find a friend who would make a GREAT runway model*
Design your BRILLIANT work of wearable art
Move it with your creative choreography
Be ready to dance it down the Market Hall catwalk by
Saturday Feb 9th at 8pm
Multiple submissions are welcome as room allows
