Workshop for Queer Youth: Finding Your Drag Identity with Gabriel Dharmoo

Whether you have a drag persona already, or daydream about what your drag persona could be, this workshop celebrates how multifaceted and diverse drag can be! Spoiler alert: as you conceptualize and develop your alter ego, the best place to look is… within yourself!
Montreal-based composer and performer Gabriel Dharmoo brings music, theatre, and drag together as his high-voltage persona Bijuriya. Known for bold, playful performances blending original songs, improvisation, and South Asian-inspired glamour, Bijuriya enables Gabriel to celebrate queer joy and self-expression.
Through his workshops, Gabriel celebrates how lip-syncs, fashion, makeup, music, dance, comedy and other facets of drag artistry are all tools for creativity, confidence, and storytelling. By brainstorming and sharing ideas about their dream drag identity, participants are encouraged to play, create, and shine.
