Kate Story Performances May Be Permanent

Seen here are excerpts from Performances May Be Permanent, a work of dance theatre written and performed by Kate Story (Peterborough), with music performed by Bill Brennan (St. John’s), and directed by Ker Wells (Vancouver). It was premiered by Public Energy Performing Arts at the Market Hall in Peterborough, Ontario on September 24, 2015. These excerpts show the core construct of the work, bouncing between accounts of two influential pianists in her life who died young: her mother, who composed and played scores for silent movies, and Glenn Gould, whose recordings of Bach were a great influence.
