This powerful dance-theatre production interprets the celebrated Hindu theme of DASHAVATARA – Ten Incarnations of God Vishnu.
Whenever the ‘order of the world’ has been destroyed, Vishnu returns to earth to intervene and restore righteousness and harmony. Each time he returns, Vishnu manifests himself as a new incarnation.
HOWZAAT!
Sharing the evening is HOWZAAT! – a unique and refreshing take on the sport of cricket. Extending the boundaries of contemporary Bharatanatyam, HOWZAAT! is a satirical look at the ‘world of cricket’ explored through the subtext of colonialism, politics and popular culture. Experience the juxtaposition of exciting dance with the exhilarating physicality of cricket against a stunning visual design.
