O’ Kaadenigan Wiingashk & Public Energy present The Rez Sisters by Tomson Highway
When it first broke on the Toronto theatre scene in 1986, this play by acclaimed Canadian playwright Tomson Highway startled and delighted audiences and has since achieved lasting influence in contemporary theatre. With its adept melding of stark realities of life on an Indian reserve with robust humour and elements of Aboriginal spirituality, The Rez Sisters is pure theatre, set to take you off on a journey as seven women dream and scheme of going to “The Biggest Bingo in the World”. Peterborough-based Aboriginal arts collective O’ Kaadenigan Wiingashk has assembled an outstanding artistic team, using a mix of artists from Peterborough and across Canada, including a colourful, whimsical design by Ted Roberts.
