A showcase of Peterborough’s best young dance talent. With dancers from Imagine Studios, Premiere Studio of Dance, Revolutions, Move N’ Groove, A Frost Dance Experience, TAS Dance Program, Lakefield College School, and more!

pact (noun): an agreement between individuals or parties usually involving personal passion or love. The Dance Pact is a way for young dancers from across Peterborough to express their passion for dance, and for Public Energy Performing Arts to show its support for the dance community. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit community outreach programs in the city run by Public Energy Performing Arts: the In Your Space Community Workshop Series and the Alternating Currents Artist Mentorship Program.

On October 17th Public Energy is bringing together dancers from more than seven studios and programs across the city. Each one will bring two dances to present on the Market Hall stage. Come enjoy a beautiful display of the amazing talent Peterborough has to offer, while making a contribution to Public Energy’s work in the community. Last year’s In Your Space Workshop Series funded workshops lead performing artists in community spaces across the city. Our 2017-2018 community partners included: Peterborough New Canadians Centre, YES Shelter for Youth and Families, and the Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough. This Public Energy Performing Arts is excited to add Creating Space and the Council for Persons with Disabilities to our list of partners.
